Is there Toughness in Wo Long?
Is there a Toughness stat calculation in Wo Long like Nioh?

I didn't see it.

There's a Defense stat and a Physical Resistance stat – they both just affect damage taken.

Then you've Spirit attacks that can have hyperarmor. I think that's all, others will correct me. lol

I didnt see it either. Maybe its the poor ui rearing its head, or its hidden. Otherwise I assume it doesnt exist. Enemies do seem to have the stat to varrying degrees. I havent played many weapons yet so I dont know if different weapons have different anti-stagger potential.

Hyper armor / toughness seems to only be in spirit (triangle attack) or martial arts moves, and you only get it when you activate with a full or near full blue spirit bar. You also usually get massively increased defense for the move. As far as I've seen, no normal human non-boss (with a boss style lifebar at the top) has hyper armor on anything other than red attacks. Heavier armor just seems to reduce damage.

my guess is that toughness as a stat is not present in this game. The alternative we were given was the earth spell enhanced defense.

thoughness for like more tankier ? i mostly went into earth and fire becouse im a helberd/glaive user and useing alot of heavy weapons and heavyer armor allows me to take more hits and so far i know EARTH allows you to carry more so allowing you to put on more heavyer armor and all and it stales my glaives and my helbers too

no there is no toughness stat, you can get hyperarmor for spirit attacks if you perform them at positive gauge value though.

There seems to be something like toughness. In a PVP match some dude used a sword and i wasnt able to interrupt him on the first 1-2 hits. Maybe he used some earth wizzardry.

Does this mean wearing heavy armor will grant the wearer less interrupts when attacking?

It did in Nioh, but so far it seems the concensus is that here it doesnt. In Nioh this was a stats shown in the status window so it was easy to test.
