good spirit animal for damage?
Honestly the feel crap for dealing damage. In Nioh 2 if you were at a certain point in the fight, when the boss only has little HP left, you pull the trigger and finish him.

But here they seem to barely deal damage, It seems way more effective to use them for healing and not attacking.

Are there any good in the game? I'm really not blown away by their design.

thx

Qilin maybe? You just need to have the enemy at the right spot when you summon it.
Btw, I think they said the spirit animals do more damage when you have high spirit...or was it morale? Probably spirit.

Well there is one element i didnt really leveled up but its kinde because of this problem. They seem to suck so bad its not worth leveling ... :steamfacepalm:
Most people don't mention it, but spirit attacks scale in damage according to how much blue meter you've built up.

This means if the meter is full when you call your spirit beast or just use normal wizardry, you deal 2x damage with wizardries. The problem is, that gauge drops insanely quickly unless you have a lot of Spirit Sustainability to draw it out.

Okay, thx. Well i guess i will used it the way i do now. idk how much game ist left but i wont start to dig too deep anymore. I will most likely not really touch it again, after finishing.

Putting 10 in metal makes your spirit drop way less quickly.

I have not used them much either, (Living Weapon made Nioh too easy) but I did notice their attacks have different animations and such. Some like Qilin seem to deal some kind of delayed damage.

The elemental enchant versions have different bonus depending on the Divine Beast.
Since both of them are elemental, I assume they get damage boosted by the corresponding Virtue and elemental damage bonusses.
