Make sure you collect all the flags. Use reinforcements for the level.
I used the healing spirit, seems to be the best one.
if you have a hard time parrying him, you could invest into a 2nd weapon with like 120% deflection rating
That effects spirit gain on deflecting and reduces dodging spirit cost. I dont know if it actually changes the window itself or not. Plus the weapons with high deflection ''difficulty'' are duel swords/sabers. And those lack the range to actually hit the critical deflect counters.
Im not joking, if you deflect the counter attack will fissle because it hits air.. lol.
You could probably get around that by deflecting at closer range, but at that range his criticals are much harder to deflect.
I did not use the healing spirit (usually forget spirits exist) but that does sound very useful here. You can also use the healing magic before criticals since it heals more on deathblow.
I read that any water/ice magic will cancel his fire stuff but I havent tried that myself. If thats true you can just avoid the 2 fire criticals and then cool him down with water magic. They are too dangerous to try and deflect, imo.
You can also use elemental weapons (requires lvl 12 in a virtue) to build up status.
Meanwhile at morale 15+ he's basically free after getting +6 gear.
It's a huge issue because when he imbues his weapon all his attack will deal damage even if you block so your choice is to either parry or get deleted unless you got enough defense to absorb those elemental damage.
I would say reinforcement has griefed me more than it helped me. Sometimes Lubu goes after the AI with critical attack and will cleave me with it when they don't parry.
You have to break his spirit gauge to knock him off his horse. His jump critical attack is your best bet; deflect then immediately spirit attack and you should knock him off in one or two times.
