not 100% sure though, might be placebo? needs more time testing.
Even with my dinky lil 5600x, usage never went above 50% during gameplay and was below that during cutscenes lol.
i dont seem to crash anymore after replacing the files
you can search by file name
and the original file does not have its extension, so maybe it's safe to delete the .mp4 extension from these new videos
Why lower the resolution and bitrate? Re-encoding is great if it solves the issues they have, but I dont see why also reducing the quality of the cutscenes.
you can use this script to batch remove all file extensions in a folder
forfiles /S /M *.mp4 /C "cmd /c rename @file @fname"

so just unzip all the files in a certain folder and use cmd to run the script, then move all those files inside /archive/whatever/ rewriting all of them
