People are naive and have no clue about how software optimization really works at all. They think that just because they have the latest or a powerful setup things will simple magically work to its best performance and quality on demand. That's not how things works geniuses.
That overexpensive spec power of yours means ♥♥♥♥ if the software in question doesn't support the hardware technology or isn't properly optimized for it. That's why you have old MSDos games and old games that doesn't even work post Windows 7 OS, or that runs like crap on high end PC's.
That said, most modern games are developed with the consoles hardware in mind. Because it way more simple, faster and cheaper to optimize to a SINGLE STANDARDIZED setup than for a multitude of different possible PC's specs people may have at their homes. So the games are properly made and optimized for consoles, and then when making the PC port, THEY SELECT A SAMPLE RANGE of specific specs, video cards, etc, and optimizes for them. And hope it will run just as well or better on superior hardware. Which isn't always the case most of the times. That's it.
So don't get surprise if the guy who is playing on a 2060 with 16GB Ram or a RX 570 and 8GB is getting more fps and running into less problems than you in your 4090 or RX 7900. That just how things are. Then stop crying and just accept the reality that PC isn't always getting the superior version.
Dark Souls port was like that. GTA5 was like that. The Witcher 3 was like that. Nier Automata is like that. Red Dead Rendemption 2 was like that. Cyberpunk was like that. And many other games that were pretty bad on PC release.
So if you're a "Master Race" gamer then simple don't buy games on launch. Especially from KoeiTecmo that already has a reputation of making awful PC ports. Wait for a patch or something. If that happens anyways. Or get a console instead. 🤭
Is the source for these stats steam db or where are they gathering their data?
In any case this makes the reviews look even more strange now.
The discussion tab here on steam shows right now.
I dont know how good that is for this game, tho. Keep in mind that hogwarts had 10x that many. While this wasnt expected to have the same mainstream appeal, I still dont know what a good number would be.
According to steamdb Nioh 2 had an all-time peak of 41,325. But keep in mind that was the full edition and it released a ways after the console version not day 1 like this game did.
Is the game trash on PS5 too though?
Just wondering how game is with less technical issues.
Clearly you can wait, what with how much you are posting here to hate on the game. And why would you play a game you hate and call trash? Something is not quite right here..
I heard it's buttery smooth on PS5. So its probably a bit better on console.
Because I pre-ordered it and can't refund it.
A game based in the world of one of the highest selling novels ever with theme parks and movies had more players than a Team Ninja title. Imagine my surprise.
pre-ordering doesnt influence refunding. Its 2 weeks/2 hours after release day.
Someone making a completely pointless reply because they felt like opening their mouth even tho only stupid would come out at the time. Imagine my surprise!
Do you know what it means to add context?
What about Elden Ring? One of the highest selling novels too? It has more active players than Wo Long even though it came out a year ago. Not to mention all-time peak (953,426 just steam) which is higher than Hogwarts Legacy btw.
The vast majority of releases play just fine at launch. Koei have massive form for not giving much of a toss about their PC releases.
Good advice, suggesting PC gamers using a PC gaming platform get a console, lol. Yeah, I deffo want to move to a closed garden, fixed spec, high game cost platform that still can't hit 60fps without severe compromise. GG!
/goes back to playing Dead Space 2023 @4K, 120fps, Ultra.
:D
Lack of sloth talisman really getting to you eh?
