[PC] Game not Launching After Updates (No Mods)

Has anyone else not been able to launch the game after today's update? I have no mods just the vanilla game (+Sunbreak) and cannot launch it on my PC. Seems to work fine on my ROG Ally.

I've tried verifying the files, doing a full reinstall, updating windows, all my drivers and the game still doesn't launch.

Same here. Won't launch on my Win 10 machine anymore. It crashes even before creating a window. The day before the patch everything was fine.

No mods at all, game just goes right into "mhr.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close."

System: Win10 (LTSC) 21H2, up-to-date as of last month. Tried newest GPU drivers with no change.

I've downloaded 16.0.1.0 via Steam console and that still runs just fine for me.

Same here. I'm on a Windows 11 PC with no mods. The game worked fine the last few weeks but now wont even launch. I suspect all we can do is hope for a fix over the next few days or request a refund if you can. Capcom needs to fix this ASAP

On Win11, no mods and game wont launch. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still the game wont launch. Capcom needs to undo everything they have done in the last few days.

The Ver.16.0.2.0 Addendum Patch did NOT solve this problem. Game still won't start. Only workaround for now is to roll back to the version prior to 16.0.2.0 and switch Steam to offline mode.

Steam does not need to be in offline mode, you just need to replace/overwrite the exe/dll/pak files with the older patch files after Steam updates it.
Steam will think the game is updated but will happily run with the older files.

Same here , been trying to start the game since the update. it just starts loading then nothing. following this thread hopeing it will be fixed soon.

Same here, verified game data, no mods. still crashes at startup.

Still no luck here. No mods, windows 10, Intel CPU and AMD GPU.

Same situation here was working on the 8th, go to play today and it won't start even after verifying game data

I am using mods but same here! The game wont start, the window for it just doesnt open.
