Ubuntu 23.10 with an AMD Threadripper and a 6750 XT

I'm playing on Linux and the game works fine with keyboard, but it feels like playing it with controller would be much better. However, with my Xbox One-controller, it constantly inputs right stick tilt (walking to the right). With any other game, the controller works fine. Since the forum is empty, I'm afraid, nobody will be able to help me, but the game looks really cute, so I thought I'd ask anyway. Maybe someone knows the issue? I'm using the default Xbox Controller config from Steam....
