Holiday Soup stuck at "Gather festival soup ingredients"

By Day 12 of Winter Year 1, I have added all of the ingredients to the soup, and it is stuck on "Gather festival soup ingredients."

This happened to my wife as well, and her soup was treated as terrible by the villagers.

This may be a multiplayer-triggered bug, but it seems to block progress for singleplayer.

It may be due to joining a players game who has already completed the stew during winter.

I have the same glitch as a single player. In year one it worked fine, but in year 2 it shows the ingredients from last year still in the soup, and even if I take them out, wait a few days and try to put them back, it still says that I need to gather ingredients for the soup. Does anyone know a workaround, or am I just skipping that festival this year?

So rather than make a new post, I'm bringing this back from the dead, simply because this just happened to me, partly. In Year 2, it did also show me the ingredients from last year, having never been used, and just to see if I could take them back, I moved them to my inventory and back to the soup cauldron. However, when I pressed the button, the quest accepted my year-old donations and I completed the quest.

Obviously, you're supposed to gather fresh ingredients every year, not reuse the same old ones, so please fix this.

Single player, no mods bug version:
This happened to me too. Year 2 soup ingredients were already filled from previous year and all I had to do was close the pot. It accepted the old ingredients as valid and quest was completed. Since it didn't really affect me and I got to keep the ingredients I had brought over, I just shrugged and moved on.

This might be a bit late but I feel like sharing anyway. For me it was already green as in completed from the moment Bernard gave me the mission, I tried to interact with the pot but it wouldn't let be put anything in, not even showing me the opportunity to do it, just saying it's already filled with great ingredients or whatever, so I assume it was just locked on first years result somehow and I can't speak to Bernard about it or report it to him/finish it, it's just there with green text as in I've finished it, mocking me xP also I accidentally pressed the "x" at the side of the mission and it's gone now so I hope there's no bad consequences for me. Just saying sometimes it appears it just locks on first years result and allows you to "delete" the mission? Any of you experienced this?

im currently playing on year 1 and i started putting ingredients in the pot and ive come to finish it and it wont let me add ingredients to it anymore i can take them out put not put them back in

adding to this post: I'm Year 1, no mods. I gathered up all of the eggs and potatoes, 6 mushrooms, and 19 noodles. I came back the next day to fill the rest, and everything that I put in the next day was gone. It's not back in my inventory or anything. Just missing, and now I'm running out of time to grow everything I need 😩

this happened to me too, single player year 1. I had added ingredients over a few days and only had two eggs left to donate. The next day, the entire soup was reset.

I am having this same issue as single player. I have tried everything and any ingredients I place in stew they disappear and those items are lost forever.

It happens to me too. Than I placed all ingredients at once and so the Quest was solved.
Bernard comes out the Town Hall and spoke with me ... Quest finished
