The quest to defeat Krusty doesn't work

I was able to start the quest while playing yesterday but after finishing the day, I exited and now picked up from the next game day but Lynn and Nathaniel are gone despite me recruiting them yesterday and talking to Krusty doesn't kickstart the quest anymore. I can't attack Krusty solo either... Anyone else run into this problem?

update; during the same in-game day, after leaving the farm to take care of some other quests and then returning, Lynn and Nathaniel were working, chipping away at Krusty without my interaction... idk what caused the glitch but I'm glad it worked out I guess

if someone has the same issue, try leaving the farm and see if you can continue the quest after returning to the farm?

Had the same problem, and leaving the farm also fixed it. Not sure what caused it. Was it raining for you too?
