Character Creation Not Working Properly

Trying to create a new character. Every single character option on my screen is one body type (male) and one hair color (brown) I can't change a single thing.

Edit: I do use mods, but I don't use a single mod that has anything to do with characters or customization or hair or anything like that.

This might fix your issue. I had to jump through a ♥♥♥♥ ton of hoola hoops to get the game to work. Turns out, the real problem is the developer front-end BepinEX. Must've scuffed it porting it to the game but... Anywho, first make a backup of the games core files just in case.

Scroll down and click on latest releases and download the version for your platform. In my case, i run windows... so i cant't exactly tell you how to do this say on mac or linux. Unzip the folder and copy all the files into the sun haven folder. Replace files and that's it.

That fixed my issues... at least with character creation. It's worth a shot if you cant't get the game to work.

I have the same exact issue, not event the presets work. Just sets it to the default guy with blue hair with whatever race you pick. And when choosing a profession, the items that are listed you get for your profession are red rocks instead of coins, seeds, etc. I deleted all of my mods and even uninstalled and reinstalled the game, still the same issue.

It's happening to me too

I uninstalled the entire game, deleted all the folders tied to the game, reinstalled the game AND my mods and now it works. Idk if that will work for everyone.
