Glitch - Swinging Anything Removes Ability to Move

Pretty much sums it up in the title, I played for a full day just fine with a friend of mine. I was the host. I then loaded into my husbands game with the same character (he was the host) upon realizing I wouldn't have a house to put down we backed out of his game and went back to hosting on my file. I harvested some lettuce with my scythe and no longer had the ability to move with the WASD keys, I can still swing but couldn't move. So I backed out and we reloaded, I could move again, went to finish harvesting lettuce, same thing. Backed out AGAIN, took the scythe off my hot bar, could move around just fine, accidently swing my sword, once again I can't move. My husband can move around and interact with the environment just fine.

I am aware that this post is exactly 3 years old.... but my friend has run into the exactly same problem.

Everytime she swings the sword, the movement locks and it is inpossible to move with the arrow keays. You can jump, double jump and seing in the other directions but movement is not possible :(

Is there any fix for this?
