Are Mana drops only for the museum?

I have completed the museum and donated the required Mana drops.

But I made extra and really want to eat/drink them. I don't see them used in any recipe so I'm not sure what their purpose is.

I would love to eat/drink them for instant mana replenishment. Or they can be used in recipes that need mana.

Can be gifted is the only thing I know.

I know this is old but just in case anyone searches this up like I did, you do need them for the Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter Teleportation Gems used to make the seasonal greenhouses (to plant out of season crops year round).
