So depends on how you feel you can:
a) leave him be and let him spread his weeds you can harvest and turn into yucky juice. He will eventually leave your farm in a week or so.
b) go to settings and turn off seasonal bosses, and that's what I did.

so the way i do it (done a few times now) is completely ignore pretty much everything

watch the rope to see if its going faster / slower, nothing more

in the corner of your eye wait for the white text to pop up and press jump

it'll then be consistent a bit and then speed up or slow down, which is the purpose of watching the rope

it's about limiting what you;re looking at and predicting, not reactions

It took me a few tries but after taking note of the JUMP text the early was easy, then around 50%HP left notice how the rope is dark and is about the height of your head its time to jump
At some point you just spam the jump key, first it was really icky but you can get into it

I did it, the key is to ignore the rope and focus your eye on when the screen say jump word

I kept looking this topic up, because I couldn't beat him alone, and then one person said to watch Weedil's mouth, not the jump word, and that worked for me. Anyone who is finding the timing with "jump" to not work, should try watching Weedil's "body language". Maybe that will help.

To be honest, defeating Weedil without help is much harder than fighting Dynus xD

I'm trying to get the achievement but, oh well... I think I can try again when the next year comes.

Just did it on a new save: as stated above watch for the JUMP and you'll get it every time. I just didn't blink and hit space while watching for that word for a solid minute.

I didn't mean to discourage you! Hope what others said will help :)

Personally, I would be fine with multiple attempts, if that stupid cutscene won't trigger EVERY TIME. So I lost my patience quickly.

Nah, it's alright. If anything, I am grateful for the tips from you and everyone tbh :))

Okay, so for me Weedil have been a nightmare. My reaction time is clearly not as good as I would like to think but watching Weedils face rather than the rope or the jump prompt worked on the first try. :D Now I just need to remove the massive amounts of weeds that previous attempts resulted in,,, x'D

Thank you soo very much. I detest quicktime events, to the extent that if there was no other way around it I was going to uninstall the game.

If you can't beat him he'll go away after a couple of days and he does not really do damage (whee free farming xp).

I'm not sure what triggers the "get help to beat him" quest maybe losing 2 times against him you then can recruit the kids from the backer shop and with them you get a message when to jump which makes it doable.

The rewards are not all that great but you get him as a mini pet... Also it's almost kinda sweet.

The next boss I did not went after directly and then he was gone before I had a chance to beat him. (you also can deactive them completely if you like but you'll miss the quests and rewards)

3rd boss was more annoying and required some fishing skill to beat.
