glorite miners achievements

early in the game, there are achievements for either fighting the glorite miners or paying them off. i fought them off & figured i'd have to start a new save to get the other achievement at some point.

i've finally got to withergate where the glorite miners reappear with the same options, so i thought this would be a way to get the other achievement & paid them off this time.. but it doesn't unlock the achievement?

i don't see why we can't get the other achievement through this task as it's essentially the same thing?! what's the point in repeating this task otherwise?

As far as I remember the achievement for paying off glorite miners does not happen in Withergate but in the forest east of Sun Haven, earlier in the Main Quest. It wasn't cheap (for being relatively early in the story), so be prepared..

i've already passed that one, i think it was 1000 coins but i chose the fight option

the same task appears in withergate where you can pay them off for 10,000 coins, which i did expecting to get the achievement.. i definitely wouldn't have paid that much if i knew the achievement wouldn't unlock! :(

i really think they should let us get the second achievement from this if they're repeating the task!

If I'm remembering correctly, the second one is kind of tricky because you have to reason with them first. One guy will leave. Then you choose to pay or fight.

did you unlock the other achievement on the second time it appears in withergate?

Yeah, this was weird for me too, I did the same: Fight first time, then pay off in Withergate (figuring it would give me the other achievement). But it didn't, so I made another run to get it...

Wish I had seen this about 2 weeks ago ... Dang. Same thing happened to me. Chose to fight the first time and paid the second. Did not get the pay achievement 😞
