Why my crops disappear although I already have scarecrow?

Hi all, does anyone know why my crops are still disappearing even though I have a scarecrow nearby? I double-checked, and the crops are definitely within the scarecrow's radius.

There are oddly 4 scarecrows, one for each season. Are you using the scarecrow of the appropriate season?
