backup in-game

I just start to play the game again after a while and I've noticed that my in-game backup file is always empty, there is just an option to load to when i hit save and exit to main menu. The game used to be able to backup for a few days to turn back and I can't see it in the singleplayer menu now even though I've been through several days in-game, there is no backup file anywhere. Can some one help me with this issue, I want to be able to load back a day before just in case i mess up the event

Im having the same issues they say to reinstall the game but that didn't work for me Im pretty, upset because I had 345 some odd game hours on one of my files and now its gone.

I think you can just manually put the backup into the main save directory atleast, even though it's kind of cumbersome since it means you'll have restart the game every time you want to load the backup.

Who asked you to reinstall, was it devs? It definitely didn't work for me either but I'm just missing the backup and can do without it most of them time.

If you're on Mac I've read that they changed save directories at some point causing people to not be able to load their saves without manually moving them.

Yes, you're correct ,I've tried it yesterday and was able to load the backup file in-game but it won't stay there if you quit the game and have another file save, it will be gone. It kind of annoying and I hope dev will have the issue fix soon. I'm on Window btw.
