That Sinking Feeling

Hi guys :) I'm doing the That Sinking Feeling quest and I've collected some stone and apple jam and am being asked to "go to your farms beach". When I go to my beach, nothing happens! What do I do?

You need to specifically approach the area where the whirlpool used to be. If nothing happens at that point then it might be a bug

I thought the jam is to make the jelly hat, get that made first then go to the beach. Talk to Emmet I think?

also having this issue has anyone fixed it yet? I've already closed the game and come back in
