Is marriage more interesting now?
I love the game, but when I played it over a year ago, marriage was "the end". No more real interactions with your partner anymore and it felt like I became a stranger to my lover after marriage. No more dates, no more need for gifts, no kids or anything else.

So I was wondering, if that part got updated and extended.

Well, I can give my partner gifts and get community tokens. There doesn't seem to be any new dialogue. They will give me gifts from time to time, but it is different combinations of the same 3 things.

You can have a child now, but I haven't done that so I don't know how it works.

ETA: Now you can sleep in the same bed as your spouse, and there is a little cutscene. But it seems to be the same one every night.

Hm that's sad. I think that's one of the biggest drawbacks this game has right now.

Personal opinion: its not that exciting over time. at first yes, it's a nice change but for me it becomes very repetitive pretty fast (same dialogue and gifts every time, i don't think there's any new scenes after marriage at this time) and after having a child, your spouse doesn't even acknowledge your child or say anything about the child.

There isn't much interaction between the family. The child did grow but I'm wondering if there's anything after that as of right now.

Ah to bad. Hoped that has changed. Probably gonna wait then until I play it again.

There's more dialog during dating and just getting max hearts at 15 isn't enough, you have to have a conversation about your future before they'll accept the ring. After marriage they can sometimes ask you for a specific item for quest completion and yes, each spouse has like three items they can cycle through giving you. The items have been different with each one (I'm currently doing an achievement clean up run so I'm marrying and divorcing everyone). And there's the option to sleep in their bed and have a cute goodnight kiss.

As a warning I did just run into a very nasty bug while on a date with Zaria that resulted in my somehow eating the item in my first hotbar slot (RIP to my mount). And it is permanently gone near as I can tell so be careful. Didn't have a problem with Karish on his first date.

If it was a mount you got from a DLC, supposedly you can re-buy them if you go to the DLC shop through the selling portal.

No sadly it was one of the rewards for completing a bundle but it's fine, this particular character doesn't have access to that mount anymore. It was just a surreal experience especially since neither the mount whistle nor the item it thought I was holding were consumables so eating it was unexpected.

Oh my god thank you, I just had the same thing happen to me (I ate my scythe) and I thought I was losing my mind. Sorry about your mount! The scythe is much more replaceable.
