Shang accepting my proposal but no wedding the next day

I think usually whenever you give a romance candidate an engagement ring when all conditions are fulfilled (eg: 15 hearts, have all conversations to the point they imply pc should propose to them), an mission pops up asking you to meet Bernard at the town square the next day at 4pm and go to your wedding. However, when I do this with Shang, he said yes and told me to be there at 4pm and he will arrange everything etc, yet nothings popped up. When I went to the town square at 4 the second day, Bernard was not there with a big question mark above his head, and basically nothing happened. I tried this a few times (aka gifting engagement ring to Shang a few times without getting it back because he accepted my proposal) and it never worked. It almost seems like the moment after Shang telling me that he is willing to marry me and he will arrange the wedding his memory is completely wiped, which I would gladly accept if it is not so obvious that this is simply a bug. But I might be doing something wrong, so please community help me

After proposing to Shang, I encountered similar issues. I am contemplating whether anyone can successfully marry Shang.

When I played, there wasn't any issue. Just like any others, he accepted and the quest for the ceremony in 2 days shows up. Sounds like it may be a bug.
