Do the in-game cheats till work?

F1, left shift, W, A, S, & D keys. Then hit enter so it opens chat

I have always been able to use it but am I just being super unlycky or has it been removed?

i Think they were removed with the hotkeys a while back, but theres a mod on nexus that enables them with a button press. Not as convenient, but i believe it works identically.

you have to be in the pause menu and press and hold for a few seconds

Just confirmed that you need to be in the pause menu but there is no need to hold for a few seconds. You will here a sound noting the activation of the cheat enabler.
