I think it is pretty close, like 8-10 of each. I think they have been adding more with new content patches and stuff.
I feel like there are a lot of potential options that just have not been converted in to bachelorettes yet. Lookin at you, Beeanca!

lol I'd definitely prefer it if this were the other way around (and I think the average player probably would to) but there are plenty of options of each. The devs are writing a story, its their art. I wouldn't say there's any need for balance, and I certainly wouldn't say its sexist to have it weighted one way or the other (but yeah,if they wanted to add more bachelorettes, that'd be cool, sure).

It would be weirder if there was exactly the same number of eligible candidates of both sexes.

Leonhart and Saberris are completely wrong! It does appear extremely sexist that there are more male romanceable characters than female romanceable characters! there should be an even number of romanceable characters of both genders and if there has to be an uneven number then most players would prefer more female romanceable characters than male romanceable charactrs!

I agree that it is clearly unbelievably sexist if the male marriage candidates outnumber the female marriage candidates! It is also extremely unfair to the players playing sun haven if one gender of marriage candidates outnumbers another gender of marriage candidates

Not sure if it's sexist, but it is unbalanced - which is fine for the short term, I guess? It's funny though, how you have a much more varied selection of male types: strong, slender, effeminate, a single dad, etc... and the female are all girly and only vary in chest size. Even Xyla isn't really domineering enough like Darius is...

Anyone can see that Sun Haven appears to be sexist when the developers create more marriage candidates of one gender than of another! The developers really do need to add more female marriage candidates

How do you know that they identifies as a male? The main character doesn't even have a gender LOL. We should stop treating something trivial as a problem that will destroy the universe.

Catherine, breaks the stereotype of witches.

Anne is a successful business woman.

Xyla is the architect of Withergate. Without her, there would be no Withergate.

Iris is the strongest enchantress and many adores her in the elven village.

If anything, the game ENCOURAGES women, and far from showing prejudice, stereotyping or discriminating women.

Just because there are more bachelors than bachelorettes, saying the game is sexist is too much.

However, I do agree that we need more bachelorettes.
