Confused by combat dungeon rewards

Finally. Finally! Finished the combat dungeon after much duress and time invested. Now I have these special rewards and I don't know what they mean.

Specifically, the opens chest to level "X" . I am not sure what this allows me to do.

I tried to see if it meant I was allowed to open chests that previously required keys (copper to 10, iron to 20, etc.), but this does not seem to be it.

Anyone else who has gotten this far and uncovered that specific reward's proper use, I would appreciate helping me understand.

instead of going north to the guy before the dungeon go east, there are chests there

So that's all it was, those chests to the side? Bummer, I thought it was some kind of super reward (I mean, the perks are nice, but I had dreams...)

Maybe comment in suggestions that it would have been more rewarding to have access to chests as a reward, preferably with random unique rewards (because who wants to do a different activity for rewards that you can get elsewhere?)
I will totally support this, this is a great idea for improvement.

I would be happy to do so, but I see no subject line "suggestions" in the discussion tab. Ah well, perhaps they read these posts and will pick up on our combined thought process.

Ahh, it looks like its been removed - there was a suggestions thread, but its gone now - possibly because the developer is looking to wrap up the game soon.

I hope its okay to use this post for it again, but ... how do i even use the loot/trinkets you get in the dungeon chests and from the guy in there, i cannot equip them anywhere? Do i just have to cary them around or what? Thank you guys

They are passives that become active immediatly and permanently.
What you do with the item itself is up to you. Keep them as memento, throw them away, whatever.
