FYI Ticket requirement for 'Make Rent' increased

Just noticed that the number of tickets required to complete the 'Make Rent' quest for Withergate has increased from 1,000 to 3,000. I've just made it to 1,000 and gotten the related achievement, went to pay it off and then noticed the increase to 3,000.

Not sure if it's meant to increase at all, or even over time if you don't pay it off quick enough. If it's abnormal, there was a small update today with no patch notes, so could be due to that.

Everything increased as of about 30 minutes ago.

My donation requirement for Nel'Vari went from 500 to 1K (same situation, I went to turn them in, and all the sudden I can't)

Well I can, I just have to do wayyyy more now.

I just noticed this as well. They need to make it easier to get tickets if they are going to raise the rent on paying off these objectives.

I think the devs said that they wanted players not to rush through story, and wanted players to explore the new regions. However, they also said that they might decrease the amount if majority of players are dissatisfied.

That's an understandable point, I do hope they decrease it though. (personally)
Not saying it's bad to put in soft locks to drag out story, but I might be the minority, I do the story on the side, I focus on farming, layouts, designs, etc. As such, I hardly ever have money to begin with.

Not that it's bad to prioritize, but some notice would have been lovely.
After 4 days of grinding out two towns, with what little free time I was able to accommodate, I finally had my 500 to toss into the donation.

A little explaination for people claiming getting Orbs and Tickets is hard.

Go Fishing.
The whole reason why they increased it is because Fishing gives you hundrets of Orbs/Tickets. In Nel Vari i make like 700 Orbs a day just with Fishing. And then even more by Donating my Mana at the Shrines.

Given you need a 40 minute day for that so you can fish in peace.

+1 for me disliking the change.

I'm playing through the story in co-op with 2 of my friends. one of them is a pharmacist and the other is an electrician. we don't get to play for many hours at once because their jobs have long shifts. would prefer if the devs didn't make it harder for us to progress as we were having a great time in the previous patch.

What story? I wasn't expecting Final Fantasy level story telling, but the depth and complexity of the main plot is about on par with a children's book. I got the distinct impression while playing that they spent all their time and energy just throwing in every craftable item they could think of and like a dozen different crafting tables, but when it came to the actual overarching plot... well, let's just say "Withergate" is appropriately named.

Instead of trying to stretch out a paper thin plot by increasing grind, they should do the hard work of fleshing out the story.

I'm nowhere near the fishing level needed to even be allowed to buy the fishing rod for the Withering area.

I get not wanting us to rush through but with all the other juggling it took me two months to get 1k tickets. (in game months)

Not sure how long it actually took me in game, but for Withergate, I just bought demon soul seeds, planted, harvested, sold and then bought new seeds so I had a good stash of tickets. I didn't end up paying mine until I had around 4k tickets saved, but this was before the update, so a little bit overkill

I dislike it simply because the altars exist. Don't make me get a bunch of tickets just to make me get a ♥♥♥♥ ton more 5 minutes later

You dont need the Fishing Rods for each individual Area. I am using the Golden Rod all game long and you get that one for 14k in Sun Haven. Unless you are really bad at the minigame that is then the zone specific Rods help you out.

I fininshed my Rent yesterday. Took me around 1 and a half hour so 2 ingame days. But i also got pretty lucky with my Fishing passive procing so i got plenty of times 2 Fishs.
