Help With Mines

How does this work? When does the mines start saving your progress? I hit the first treasure chest and unlocked the gate with a copper key, but had to go home after. None of my progress gets saved and I have to start all the way at number 1 again.

And I think theres a bug happening because now it has only 1 and 2 unlocked. When i start at 2, my copper key will not work and keeps saying previous mines need to be unlocked to continue, at every level it says that. How am i supposed to progress in the mines? I cant keep doing the first row of levels over and over again, there isnt enough time in the day to continue and it doesnt save my progress

You have to use copper keys to unlock the gates permanently. Rusty keys are only temporary. You need a total of 10 copper keys to unlock all the gates in the first row, you can make them or buy them. If time constraint is messing you up change the time in settings to 40 minute days

This mechanic applies to all subsequent rows as well, and when you get to the final set of levels, you have to unlock every single door with a sunite key or it won't let you open the final door to the mine boss.
