Mod making?

Is making modifications to the game possible in any way? Like if you want to add your own artwork or make your own NPCs.

there has been quite a number of mods for this game uploaded on nexus. some of them includes their own artwork as a mod. so assuming you know how, yes it is possible.

There is a modding community for this game, how they do it is beyond me though but it can be done.

Head over to Nexus Mods and there are a number of open source mods there you can use to learn about how to write mods for BepInEx. You might even be able to hit up some of the more prolific modders for some help.
