Could be a reward from Illios aswell, like hey you can go now to the elves, here if you need to return quickly use my magic to teleport you home.
i love the idea of having it as an addition to a skill, but also it wouldn't stop players just from thinking "i must use a skill point just to fast travel home? naw i can just disconnect and reconnect, Easy peazy i save my point xD"
i actually thought of multiple idea's and including it in a skill was one, but when the thought of using a skill point for it, idk....then i believed the only 2 would be nice, One just having it in the options menu as a toggle on able option for the button, or making it a storyline or item related to the storyline Fast travel home. personally a single item that lets you fast travel home sounds dope and could make sense depending on the item and lore/reason behind it, but if it takes like an hour or something away from the player for usage [idk why it would] then any kind of disadvantage added to it, no matter how small, would just be thrown under the rug for the simple disconnect and reconnecting to the world. but i do get what you mean <3
