Do pets do anything?

I dont see anything but i know the devs like to be cryptic about some things so idk if pets on a leash actually do anything. If not, it would be interesting to be like a modular buff system to give you a reason to collect all the pets

Theres one skill that lets you gain up to 12% move speed walking with a pet I believe. Thats really all too it

Aside from looking cute, and being able to be named, and or walked, they do not do anything really specific with out a skill or two. The ones I know of increases movement speed, and then I think the same skill also lets you passively generate exploration experience. There is another skill that also takes note of your pets and animals for passive income of gold.

their also buggy and will randomly unleash themselves, meaning you can very easily end up losing one permanently if youre say jumping over water when it decides to unleash itself, and thenwanders into an unreachable section of the map or off-screen entirely.

there is one paid whose description says "has a chance to water your plants over night" its some dragon pet that I cant remember when and how I got, it does actually work because I have no re-watering perks nor I use any fertilizer for this and some plants are just watered in the mornings

The dragon pet that had a chance to water your crops comes from a vendor at the lantern festival. It's called the Lantern Spirit, you can buy it from Zhen for 2500. In fact it's the only thing Zhen sells.
