wallpaper on the house?

my friend and i bought the wallpaper for our newly renovated tier2 house, but even if we face the wall and it told us to press 'e' to put the wallpaper, we press the wallpaper and nothing happened. did we miss anything here? we even put away the item in the house just to make sure, but still can't put the wallpaper. Help!

If you have the wallpaper on the bar, and using the use button on it while pointing at the wall, and being right there, then no, it should be working. Items only matter if they are between you and the wall.

I am going to make some assumptions here, pardon me. First, I am assuming this just happened, if so, I can test it in my single player game and get back to you.

Second, I am assuming you are making sure it is the right item you have equipped to your bar for active use, and it is indeed a wallpaper(Using the wallpaper does not consume the item).

There is a place or two where applying does not do anything. First is outside the house, sadly that has to wait for a further release. Second would be one of the walls in the Nelvari house, which for some reason just does not let you place it in the entry. Tier two house means I would have to possibly get my partner to open up theirs later for further testing, but I will get back to you when I have all information, and see if we can sort this out.

Edit: Sunhaven house, Tier 3 so far the two I have worked, so that I did not lose it, just did so on a mid wall in the center of the house as a quick test. Will have to wait till tomorrow to test on a Tier 2 house. Hoping we get more insight before too long.

I play on PC, Windows 10 version is the latest version, single player character is currently in Winter month, and only tested on the sunhaven farm. Will do my best to figure out what is going on in the meantime.

alright then, thanks, i'll try again with my friend later with different wallpaper. we're still in the summer and we have not reach nelvari yet. this is our first playthrough. i tried the outside of the house too, but it does not show the option to press e to put the wallpaper, only show it when we're facing the wall inside the house. but even if we press the e, nothing happens

As I mentioned earlier, outside the house does not work yet(Apparently according to the list of upcoming features, one of the major updates will allow for customizing the house) have not had a chance to test with the tier 2 house yet. I will check on my end and report results when I have it.

Alright, sorry for how long it took, my partner has been busy, so have not been able to check in their farm until just a few moments ago. So far, seems there is no problem on my end to switch wallpapers. I used Withergate and Royal Withergate to test, on the T2 house. I cannot fathom what could be happening on your end, but the information on how I play is above, so I hope this helps a little bit.
