Elven Farming [Spoiler]
*POTENTIAL SPOILER*

In the Nel'Vari farm there is the mechanic to plant specific crops to attract animals for item drops. I am trying to attract the fire sprites to get fire crystals but when you plant elemental seeds you have a chance of getting water and earth instead of fire plants. Is there a way to specifically harvest out those plants and leave the fire ones in place? It seems like my best bet would be to prune around the edges of my plot but in the end still have to keep expanding the farm until I get enough fire plants mixed into the overall plot. This seems like a huge oversight in the game unless there is something I am missing here. I have no need for additional water or earth crystals, only fire.

It's not an oversight. It's supposed to be random as a nature of that kind of plant.

To get a field of only one kind, take your hoe and right click on the square with the elemental plant that you don't want. You'll get the seed back. Till that square again with your hoe and replant the seed. Continue this until you get a full field of the kind of elemental plant you want.

I haven't tested this extensively, but I found that once a seed is determined to be an element (you can tell on day 2 I think?) it'll stay that seed after replanting. So what I do is I have an area of plants I don't harvest (lets call it area A- it's the plants I keep to attract animals and spirits) and one that I do harvest (area B), and I'll get rid of the rock ones from Area A (because of pigs I'm overwhelmed with earth crystals and don't need more) and replant them in area B and they seem to remain as rock. Likewise, I want to keep mostly water and fire plants, so if I see any in area B, I'll pick them up and replant them in area A. To make sure this works, I do try to only have one type of elemental seed on me at a time (move all the rocks I want, and then water or fire, but not all of them at once) because I don't know how the seed generation thingy works.
