Depends on how much you craft I guess (I dont make coal get lots from mines). Im JUST starting to get comfy wood wise (fall year 1) so I can totally get the early game wood shortage
but...yeah this game sucks hard on the wood-front
(the "forests" have maybe 30 trees in total that regrow after multiple days, slowly)
best way to get wood would be to;
go into the mine and try to reach a deep level, then sell the havenite (and start using it a bribe for all the villagers ...gz you are now the havenite-dealer of the entire town)
use the newfound wealth to purchase tree-seeds from the seedvendor for 200 a pice and go to town (~500 treeseeds should cover you a good bid)
And ofc take the talents for more logs per tree ...and the treeshopper-spell, because cutting down this amount of trees can result in insanity
Wrong game or you have a mod...or they changed it, now you making me leave a stump to test 😂
I am playing without mods. But i was also told by others not to chop them down so i just took that advice and didnt. And i dont have wood problems so there seems to be some truth within that advice.
