Mine Keys

Please make it clearer that keys must be done sequentially (ie no missed floors) to prevent frustration for players, or make so we can actually go back and use copper keys in doors already opened by rusty keys. This current system is a recipe for angry players.

wait, say I open 1-3 with rusty and then 4-10 with perm keys. I get that 1-3 would be re-locked, but your saying 4-10 also would be? Agreed thats :(

Maybe make it so you cant even open doors ahead until you caught up with all real keys

It made sense to me. It explained it the first time you went into the mine. Rusty keys are temp and metal keys are permanent unlocks.

It makes sense you have to open the gates in order with the metal keys, why would they let you use rusty keys to the treasure room then let you use a metal key?

Also common sense that you have to wait for the mine to reset before you can go back and use a metal key on a gate you used a rusty key on before.

Maybe I am just use to these kinds of games and they way the systems work but I didn't have any issue with the system for unlocking the mine floors.

It will not let you unlock 4 with a metal key if you unlock 1-3 with rusty. You have to unlock them in order with a permanent key.

kool thanks, then yeah, Im not sure what OPS gripe is then tbh, sorry but the system makes sense to me

It would be nice if you could go back and use a key on a door that you had already unlocked though. For example, maybe you used a rusty key to move forward but then had enough ore to build a key. Sure, you can wait until tomorrow and unlock it then, but it would still be a nice QoL to be able to use the key today. Especially in multiplayer where people are all doing their own thing and the somebody grabbing a rusty key earlier in the day can prevent someone else from using the keys.

Because there seems to be some confusion:

The Key system requires you to open every single door in order with the coresponding key. If you use a Rusty Key on lets say Floor 2 then floor 3 and upwards cant be opened with Copper Keys anymore even if you have them with you.

On top of that 2 Treasure rooms have Ore Munchers (i believe that was their name) which are pretty much Scaly Snaccoons. You feed them once and the room stays open for ever. However if you didnt open all doors prior to that permanenty you cant skip them and you still need to open the other doors the next time you enter.

The very last Mine Door is also wrongly explained. It say can be opened with a Rusty Key or Sunite Key. However i destroyed every single Node on the final floor multiple times and never got a Rusty Key drop. So the final door seems to be rigged and can only be opened with a Sunite Key.
