I don't know what your mining level is, but I went with the stone. Seemed like the less painful option since I had the mining area spell by that point, so it didn't take too long in the overfilled quarry.
Still felt weirdly unnecessary though.
there's a lot of bigger issues with the game than that tbh
If you go with the stone and then use that spell that destroys rocks (forgot the name), it's actually ridiculously easy. I finished mining the stone in about a minute.
Yes. "Stop adding content, make the game fun." and give us a good story with a proper ending.
The Spring-season stone boss was a welcome source of metals, but defeating it was a tiresome slog (I had an iron or adamant pickaxe, it took most of a 40-minute day. Beating a boss should not be tedious)
The jumprope boss had me wondering what I needed to do in order to just pay the kids to do the jump-roping for me.
Games are supposed to be fun. If they're not: Why am I playing?
(As One (1) Lini said, the ride back to the farm was a welcome surprise and thoughtful bit of game design. I still changed my review to negative, and uninstalled the game afterwards.)
