Pests?

Just got the game a few days in, ive surrounded my entire crop field in a fence with a closed gate. Pests are still eating my crops? Ive lost half the yield to this. Is this a bug or do i need a scrarecrow? I assumed the completed fence would be sufficient.

You need a seasonal scarecrow to keep pests away, fences are just deco and to keep farm animals in a certain area.

I already did a long run when seasonal update came out ... if you hate the pests due to having to swap the scarecrows every frigging month ... go to options, and you can turn them off! :D Almost as good a quality of life as making it so you can upgrade scarecrows or something ....

Right now the scarecrows are bugged and not working since last patch broke them. You can turn of pests in the game play options until they fix it.

You can also now turn off seasonal pests in the Settings menu.

They seem to work for most anyways, some people (including me) they still dont work. We might have to reinstall, but for what its worth I just have pests off
