Locked at 10 hearts?

I've hit 10 hearts with Jun and been on one date, I think he had about 5 hearts at the time of that. Hoever, I have no idea how to progress past 10 hearts, the guide I've looked at seems either outdated or I am experiencing some kind of bug, 'cause it it doesn't mention getting locked at this point.

So how does one get past 10 hearts?

I've personally never had an issue with getting past 10 hearts, as the NPC will ask if you are wanting to be serious, and date them after that. If you refuse, the only way I know of to be able to "Date" someone, is by simply going to the town hall, and purchasing a "Love letter", then gifting it to the NPC you want, provided they have 10 hearts.

This "should" in turn, allow you to date said character.

The same is done with Marriage with an npc as well, once obtaining 15 hearts, by a wedding ring (via community tokens x100), and simply gift it to them.

Thanks, I was able to start dating him by gifting one of those letters. It does seem like I keep missing out on romance events though, as the town hall store are selling both Liam's oven mitts and Jun's diary which I assume are supposed to be gifted at some point normally.

Since 1.0 love letter seems useless - they added a "heart" button to the dialogue box, you can just click it and - boom! - you start dating.
