Is this something that will be coming later? I thought perhaps it would be available if I used a sunite key in the Nel'Vari mines, but alas, that only gave me the same sort of mine level as I've gotten with mithril keys.

Or, am I looking for it in the wrong place?

You need to use the ressource you mine to buy the Elven Steel Ore at the merchant down the stairs next to the mine. You can then do Elven Steel Ingots at your furnace that you can trade with the other merchant to buy some gear. As far as I know, there's no other way to use the ingots, but I might have missed it.

Thank you! I must have missed that merchant selling the ore...or just assumed that I would eventually be able to mine it.

I will check that out next time I'm in the elf town...right now I am concentrating on Withergate.
