How do you make hardwood planks?

And please do not say take my hardwood logs to crafting table because it's not there.

I've been searching and some people have the recipe and some don't. Is there a specific level or criteria to unlock hardwood plank at crafting table?

As far as I know there is no level cap or requirement, but are you using the old crafting table? You may have to craft/buy one of the new ones if you're using one from before the recent update (I've noticed new farms still spawn with an old one and navari still sells old ones too but sun haven has the new one in the general store) Hope that maybe helps.

No, I started a whole new game and made another crafting table and recipe is still missing :(

Ah I see. I'm not an expert but it may just be a glitch. I attempted it on a new character and the only time it was missing for me was on the old table. Either that, or I'm missing something. Hope it works out for you, m'dear.

I tried making a new character and that didn't work for me either. Even on the new crafting table T^T

Came looking here, as I was having the same issue and haven't seen it anywhere on their Discord. However, I am the host of a multiplayer game and everyone else can see/craft them, it's just me having this issue. A glitch for sure, hopefully they fix it soon.

For me, as soon as i unlocked the Nel'Vari farm the hardwood plank recipe showed up. so it might be story progress gated.

i do not think its a glitch i am playing on my first character made him before hardwood was a thing i got the planks unlocked after talking to the Nel'Vari dragon but im not sure at what pint do to me doing a few quests for her before checking if i had them unlocked but both crafting tables are able to make hardwood planks hope this helps if you have not found it yet

As far as I know, hardwood should be available to craft from the beginning of the game. My new character has it in their crafting list and they are not out of the first town yet and they possess no hardwood.
Seems like this is likely d/t a glitch, as you SHOULD be able to craft it at the crafting table.

Definitely feels like its a glitch, but testing on 2 chars, both of which did not get it at the start both got it after i unlocked the Nel'vari farm. SO at least it is unlocking at some point so its not bricking saves.

I found I had to have hardwood in my inventory or crafting it at the table wasn't visible as an option. Drove me crazy for a little while...

Reach Level 20 with your Farming Skill and it will unlock the recipe

only sped read above so sorry if said, but its unlocked with certain skills (jam maker is one). Also might have to hop into single player to get it, as currently multiplayer is buggy (well so is single player right now 🤣)

*scratches head* ...I am pretty sure that aside from reaching the skill level, you have to have your house to tier two as well?
That might have changed (am not sure if it has) but *pretty* sure it's a thing??

I can craft hardwood planks, t1 house, so nope that isn't a thing.

yeah, jam maker unlocked for me (thats farming skill iirc) and had t1 house
...or was it keg? one of those, what ever is first
