Keybinds
Thinking of refunding this game. I'm left handed and WASD is a non starter for me. Does anyone know if they plan on updating this game in the future to be able to rebind the keys?

Refunded due to no left hand support. Maybe I will take a look at this game in the future, right now its a no.

The same thing just happened to me. I'm sure they'll add keybinds at some point, but it's just unplayable for me right now. It's a shame, because I was really looking forward to this! Hopefully they'll add remapping before launch or in a day 1 patch. Until then, though, I just can't see a reason to keep a game I can't play. On the plus side, I really liked the character creator?

Keybinds and controller support are supposed to be coming, but I haven't seen any information on when. (I don't have full use of my left hand, so the WASD movement is pretty painful.)

I am left handed too, never using WASD only Arrow keys but I am currently playing with my controller and I have no problem with it so maybe you should find out how to configure your controller like I did on this game. The only thing kinda annoying is to move your cursor in game but it worth it waiting for a remap update (it really saved my money for now)

Rebinds and official controller support are planned in later patches but aren't on the roadmap currently. Currently it's more bugs, progression, quality of life in game at the forefront. 6 months of EA and 3 major patches to look forward to adjustments though. Saying nothing of the dozens of small patches we'll see. Hope you come back when the game is more accessible to you all. <3

How did you configure your controller in order for it to work?

I'm using Nintendo Switch Pro Controller (my Xbox controller didn't work btw) and I configured directly via Steam Controller Configurator. Some binds were already working but I couldn't move to the left and up because I usually play with an AZERTY keyboard. So I just switched W and A to Z and Q. But if you have a QWERTY keyboard you clearly don't have this compatibility issue. Maybe you need to update your controller on Steam or change your controller... :/

:( This was just extremely disappointing to discover for myself as well. Pretty sad to discover that I'll need to use use a remote or wait months for something that IMHO should also work by default as a secondary movement option.

It's disappointing to know that there's no controller support right now. Thanks to pain issues, both my partner and I have difficulty with keyboard controls, and controllers are much better for us. The lack of support is kind of preventing us both from playing and enjoying the game right now. :/

I am left handed and have always used the arrow keys so I am now having to struggle with using WASD keys which I have never used before. I would have thought key binds were quality of life to a lot of people. I was disappointed by the lack of key binds but I wanted to play it so much, so I am having to do the best I can until they finally realise that key binds are important, I don't have a controller.

You can use the arrow keys, infact using them makes you move faster.

working through a mouse keybind script atm, but after that is done I can see what I can do for a controller mapping script. Will most likely be set up using an xbox one controller though.

I have arthritis that makes repetitive mouse clicking painful rather quickly. I would love to be able to change the "action" on tools / etc to the keyboard, so I hope this feature will be available soon. Thanks!

I have a very minimal script that can put the mouse clicks on 0 and . On a number pad if you want. I plan on fleshing it out more but it works. Lmk. Just don't run it with any other GA that has cheat prevention as it will most likely get you banned in that game

Those keys would be ideal on the number pad, for sure. I don't know how to change scripts on my games or computer though as I am a noob. It's kind of sad, but it probably keeps me from messing up my games as well as I probably wouldn't be able to figure out a fix without a complete delete / reinstall. It'd be awesome if games would implement that as an option as a general rule. Maybe as gamers continue to age. Dunno.
