Just bought the game, any tips?

specially farming xp
for mining, there's no enemy there yet, so make keys till you unlock floor 41 permanently
make days 40 minute in pause menu for more mining per day
don't forget to check the dragon status for +5 mana cap weekly ( ingame time)
unlock the first snacccoon in forest right side of city ( it's a bear stopping you from progressing ) for +15 mana cap weekly ( wish every week there )

I suggest you take your time if you're planning on having a long experience with the game. Outside of that, mining is really helpful because the higher grade your pickaxe, axe, hoe, and watering can are, the better they work(hoe and watering can have less of a "cast time" meaning they work faster, pickaxe and axe do more damage to ore/trees, also the hoe and watering can are really slow to start). If you want farm EXP fast, I'd suggest when asked what you want to say farming because it gives you a farming keepsake which gives more exp when doing farm related things. The other keepsakes are a combat one which just increases damage done, a romance keepsake which gives you more hearts when giving gifts to people, and a money keepsake which gives you 500 gold(or whatever the currency is) every day iirc.

No, but they water/hoe extremely fast at max. You can also stand still to water quite a bit, it's not like Stardew with the tool going one tile in front of wherever you're facing. For example if there's a hoed spot that isn't watered the placement indicator will hover over it if you're near it when selecting the watering can. You can also direct them up to so far away with your cursor. Also I might mention the hoe can also turn hoed ground back into grass with right click.

In this game you make your tools yourself, or you can buy them. Making them is cheaper by a ton though. You can make them at an anvil and sell your old ones.

use ur crafting table to make a furnace then anvle then furnature thingy grinder and so forth also visit mine make keys to open gates permenantly then work away upgrading ur house tools an making food for gifts fishing quests ya get it im also new just got game yesturday loving it :D

Upgrade your tools, It will speed up a lot of stuff you do. Go mining like crazy, craft keys (at least for me it makes mining a lot easier) and plant crops. You can get crops for free by mowing your field or fight against those (bell)pepper monsters at the beach. Sell your old tools, you won't need them and they aren't cheap.
Quest will be your best friend when it comes to leveling or getting money. There are a few perks for gaining money like picking up flowers on a field. Try to get them early, so you can buy a lot of different crops, which will give you more money when selling. Some things are quite expensive in the game but if you're into decorating, you will need the money XD
