Sand
Sand is fun.
Played a bit of Sand today. Just one extraction round to get a feel for it. The middle trampler with a side mounted heavy shotgun turret is what I picked. I also supplied it with about half my bullets and respawn foods and other things in the cargo before launching in.

Once deployed, I got acquainted with the various doors, rooms, ladders etc. I found my box and figured out how to get guns and ammo and food and put them on me and and in the turret and in the fridge.

I cranked up the engine for the trampler and grabbed the controls which were in another language but had nice descriptions below that helped get into the flow of things. The controls felt almost like being in a cockpit since you can look around and there is a nice map that details where you are along with map extraction locations and other important objectives.

There was boat wreckage that beckons to be investigated, along with many other points of interest. I was able to get a bunch of ammo and even a locked crate. I then proceeded to a large billowing smoke from a wrecked trampler. I got out and explored this destroyed vehicle and found nobody had looted it. There was a huge cash coin cargo and I made haste to xfer it and other items onto my cargo deck.

At this point I started to feel like a target since another trampler had popped up not far. As I quickly got my trampler turned around and mounted my vehicle shotgun turret, it appeared the other trampler had moved off at high speed. I then headed toward the exit since I felt I just scored some major coin, and it took me a minute to realize my ship direction vs where I was facing on the map display.

I found about 4 other things on the way to extraction that almost sidetracked me, but I wanted to get out with the goodies. Upon arriving I scaled a rather large double ladder similar to a large antenna ladder. At the top was a radio that I called an extraction from. This caused a huge plume of smoke that I am sure could be seen from very far off, and a rather long counter. Once it arrived there was a shorter counter saying get to pipeline, extraction available for 30 seconds or so. I quickly got off the ladder and used the auto zip line.
I liked the open feel and many things to do. I see the direction the game is heading in and it has great potential as new map clients are pushed out. It all works with the exception of the game getting stuck at 75% loading screen after extraction. Will be very curious to see how the blueprint thing and building out your own tramplers will go. Could see some pretty good builds.
If I had to compare to other games, it's a bit like Last Oasis mixed with Mauraders. The steam punk/ diesel feeling to the tramplers really adds an interesting dynamic. The noises of the trampler while you are piloting really adds to the immersion aspect. I hope they keep tweeking and dialing this in.

only other things I can say is it's early. So early they already mentioned it's not optimized and there are map environmental glitches here and there (mainly floating loot boxes and floating extraction radio) nothing that can't be tackled with some time and focus. Good luck to the trampled Devs and thanks for the early access demo. Hopefully it will continue for w a while as they tweek and update
