-It isn't deleted, it looks like you posted it in "Ideas, Feedback, and Suggestions" subforum. Maybe you created it there on accident?
another thread was deleted, unknown if by the user or these mods. it was locked first, then had all the comments deleted with a note left by a mod saying he didn't like the tone of the messages (or something like that)
maybe i missed it when i was searching for it, but i checked all 4 subs a few times.

here is a different locked thread where she even mentions "tone" as the reason for locking it

No, i posted it on: https://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/index.php?forums/general-discussion.2329470/

FYI, the KF subreddit is not controlled by TWI. Are you, by any chance, the author of the post titled as "these characters look like they are straight from COD and Concord?" Is your ban truly permanent? In any case, you will have to appeal your ban via the modmail.
unless its an official subreddit made by twi, they have no control over the mods afaik
The subreddit is run by volunteers from the community, it is not a property of TWI. It has been like that for a long time, and I don't think that it's the correct question to ask. It would not be in a better state if an official company representative was to moderate it. TWI has enough discussion boards under its control, and the subreddit should stay out of the company's sphere of influence.
That said, the subreddit is definitely over-moderated at the moment, but it wouldn't be correct to say that it's run by a group of certain people. Many of the previous moderators resigned, deleted their accounts, or are simply no longer active. Only one of them is still active on a regular basis, and many of the subreddit's restrictive policies are a result of that moderator's vision of what that discussion board should look like.
I agree with that. It's not certain if that user has been banned permanently, but a temporary ban for that definitely seems like what is possible on the subreddit nowadays. The most active moderator appears to be deeply concerned with the image of the subreddit in the eyes of an impartial observer. He is not a TWI shill, but he seems to be concerned with people criticizing the subreddit for not moderating "bigotry" and "toxicity" hard enough. He believes that the topics of DEI or the upcoming game being "woke" fall into that category and will be hijacked by bad actors to troll or spread their bigoted agenda. He also believes that even remotely political discussions are prone to turning into heated arguments which will further divide the already fragmented community.
I remember the better times of that subreddit when there was more freedom of speech, and I have already expressed my concerns on that matter. I don't think that censorship is the way to go. That subreddit used to be the only place where players frustrated with TWI and the company's decisions would say what's on their minds without worrying about getting censored/banned.
That moderator is unsure how to deal with such topics. If you want to influence the situation somehow, express your concerns via the modmail and in public spaces to the extent permitted by the rules. If you think that the subreddit is over-moderated and censors too much, just say it. On the subreddit itself, here on the Steam forums, on the official TWI forums, or even in the official Discord community. There may be polls or questions addressed to the community on the subreddit in the future. If you see them, cast your vote and express your opinion.
In recent years yes. I strongly agree.
You can voice just about any opinion across all kf discussion. But there were a few times i recall where people may have been wrongfully perma-banned, but that was a very long time ago and idk who was moderating then.
I do know one user here was banned from kf2's discussion for what i think is a total BS reason involving nepotism and protecting a certain someone who is a "contributor" and mod on some platforms. It certainly would be a reason for said user to have a grudge. But i can't get into the vast details.
Nowdays iv'e not noticed issues in kf discussion. Threads have been locked with an answer from a dev or merged, locked or deleted for arguing etc. On other boards primarily watched by steam support you get no warnings and excessive bans are given out like candy for just about any given reason. Out sourcing steam support has come with it's fair share of consequences to where it's very much like other platforms now (or worse).
You must not know about Tripwire, the company you're so willing to defend, and their history of nuking criticism from orbit on their own forums. Nor their penchant for holding grudges and game-banning people that they dislike.
I'd be far more inclined to believe pigs could fly - or even more unlikely, that KF3 would be a game worth spending money on - before I believe that people and posts on these Steam forums aren't being manipulated.
