That being said...
I agree; 2 and 3 are very likely but I highly doubt 1.
So, what do you think?
This game is made for the modern audience, nominated for DOA awards. It needs to be F2P if they expect any kind of business sustainability.
Paid-cosmetic, I don't think they have time to prepare those things with a 2025 deadline, but maybe we will see some chromatic changes on default models, just as neon skins, with a 5-10 dollars price tag.
And, about Epic, I'm sure they don't want to throttle even more their player-base after all the heat they made with "we are going back to our roots" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ -a.k.a. modern audience slop announcements- they are giving nowadays.
5a. "Base game" is actually a paid demo
Unless future reveals suggest otherwise, it's highly likely that KF2's Berserker since the Summer 2021 nerfs followed by the subsequent weapon DLC is a taste of what's to come for Killing Floor 3. The fact that P2W was defended as much as it has likely sent the message that KF2's fans want to buy DLCs to buff otherwise underpowered classes, and I feel like they'll try and P2Wify as many of the specialists as possible.
The "demo" part of KF3 would be the first two difficulties being designed with the base game offerings in mind while every other difficulty after that would just make your life a living hell if you insist on relying on the base game offerings, even if you're at the suggested level range
99.9% will not buy,i feel sorry for them but i dont blame them they really want to grasp the mysterious modern audience so good luck
I didn't buy the doom cartoonish garbage and won't buy this, even on sale and even if I'm paid to play it, LOL.
TWI used to be a company that was making realistic games. Alex Quick was a game designer who preferred realistic settings. All that is gone now, enjoy childish cartoonish neon scifi doom with toy guns, verticality to fights and all sorts of visual noise.
