wire effects? (outside of the +2/-2 net power change)
Trying to fine a list of what wiring does to specific objects. Out side of the net +2/-2 power change.

Applying it to motors effects weight limits.

I read applying it to rail guns effects damage.

Does it effect anything else? like other weapons or cabin? The starting weapons have a base energy of 5, any reasons not to wire those instead of modifying the weapon to reduce its energy cost?

If anything needs energy to fire then obviously changing the energy input will affect the weapon stats - all of the laser weapons and the railgun are like this as far as I know, and there might be others.

Electric motors also gets disproportionately stronger or weaker with different energy use.

Don't think you can attach wires to the cabin?

Do also remember that every wire added adds 0.02 to the base heat the reactor produces. This isn't a lot, but cooling is hard to get, so adding even a small amount to the base heat is never a good thing. You should try and avoid rewiring things unless you really need to for this reason - but it can be much easier to just plus-wire a motor to get a tiny bit more weight capacity than mess with a weapon to make it lighter. Likewise, you can get energy costs for energy weapons up or down a small amount with the wiring, sometimes more precisely than you would be able to with customization pips. If you're only short by 3 energy then maybe just undervolting the laser is a lot better than reducing its power draw by 10 which makes it a much worse laser.
