Inputs work in the menu, when the game actually starts, no inputs work at all.

Using a brand new XBox PowerA wired controller. Acceleration (RT) is not responding. Can do everything on the controller except for accelerate. Without, it's a useless game. I've gone through all the typical troubleshooting, ie unplug usb, plug back in. Restart computer. Confirm controller settings on the PC, in Steam, in the game. Nothings worked. I have no issues using this controller on other games. Please help. Thanks, Mr. Dad...
