GPU is getting hot
My 2080TI gets very hot when i'm looking at the shop or the characters, i turned everything down even switch to vulkan, but still, does anyone know how to reduce the heating?

They need to add an option so you can cap your FPS
Like I have the same issue, GPU running hot as hell, but my FPS are well above the 100 mark, why can't I just cap it to like 90?

u know u can set max fps in ur gpu system panel right?

I think it was heating less before the update. Today, I saw my GPU hit 80 C earlier, when playing. Performance is not different, funny enough.

I already burned my gpu ones (lucky it had 1 month warranty left), don't want to do it a second time.

I have an AMD card and it has a "Chill" option to reduce the frame rate. I don't know if NVIDIA has anything similar.

Need to look if this is possible with nvidia.

It is. You can even set different profiles per game.

Oh no, who could think that hardware that suppose to work on 100% of its capacity is working on 100%?
bring ur gpu to a service center so they change thermal pads as your gpu gets overheat. Lowering fps is literally not the best fix for your particular problem

Yeah, my GPU heats up when I browse the shop.

Yea, I do know
Just like I know it's a common feature in games to let you cap your FPS without having to toy around with an ancient piece of software that is widely disliked

I don't know why smartasses like you think they're sharing like a piece of hidden knowledge
Yea, it's not uncommon for your GPU to run at 100%, however this is a game in its early production stages where the graphics don't justify the pull and the only reason it's at 100%, no matter what settings I give it, is because it's drawing as many frames as it possibly can
All I'm asking is for an ingame frame limiter so I can cap it around 90 fps without having to toy around with nvidia's notorious control panel

Reducing load stress on GPU is literally the way to solve the issue. The game is poorly optimized and it uses too much resources for what it is.
Also, in game resolution settings with marked frame rates should also limit to that refresh rate, but it's not the case. It does nothing.
Custom FPS cap could be useful, why not.
