No matter how many points I got or how far I get, the points just don`t save. stays at zero. it keeps showing me that I unlock the cars and tracks.. but when I want to choose them my points are at zero

The game is small fun and addictive. But the images and trailer seem kinda misleading considering there is no first person element to the game whatsoever. am i missing something?
