Turning off signal aspects

Is there a way to turn of signal aspects in the cab without also turning of speed restrictions and "next stop" information. I find it hard to read the speed signs, but i can read the singal aspects so i don't really need them in the cab. It adds to the callenge.

you can turn out every single aspect from the HUD with the F1-F4 keys but not sure what key exactly disable what in the HUD

Both the speed limit and signal aspect belong to the same part of the HUD, meaning you can either have both or nothing, sadly.

I'd personally like to have the distance to the next signal displayed, but not its aspect. A real driver is required to know the route by heart, which I obviously don't. That's why I'd like to have the distance readout, without being able to "cheat" and see the aspect before I can physically see the signal.

Honestly, I am surprised it's not a thing in SimRail. C'mon, even TSW has it.

ABSignals are 2km apart from eachother
Distant signals are placed 1km before semi automatic main signals
If the next main signal is closer than that, a 'reduced braking distance' signal will warn you
Also pro tip: the minimum visibility distance is at least 200 meters (and that's where the SHP blocks are)
If you wouldn't see the signal from over 200m, repeater signals are used

The average braking distance is officially 1km. That means a train going max allowed speed in the worst weather with the worst friction properties should be able to stop within that. Signals won't be placed closer unless there is a speed limit and a warning sign
Either way, you have to act accordingly to distant signals and slow down to stop if you had a yellow light

But in the end a good rule of thumb is:
ABS-ABS, ABS-Main 2km
Distant-Main 1km

^Thanks! I am kinda aware of the signalling rules, admittedly not very closely.

Still, I am pretty surprised that greying-out the aspect color on the HUD is not an option. That seems like perfect middle ground between casual-friendly and outright cheaty.
