Also, no documentation at all. I like a lot what it looks like and it is very promising, but I have no trust in the developers at the moment. I bought it when the game save was promised with three months, but nothing happens. No fixes, no updates. I may give it a try again after release, but at the moment I do not play it at all.
This "game is dead^ thread has turned dead shortly after news about the close release date came up. All adepts of "dead game" sect were confounded.
added on So I'm not confused. If someone says that a 1.0 release is coming and also says that the tunnel will be part of it, that's fine. But he doesn't say a word about BR 52. And no, I will not go to any Facebook, because as a person who does not have a profile there, browsing is very difficult. If someone intends to sell the game via Steam, they should primarily put the information here. Howg
Dear passengers. We apologize and regret to inform you that the train led by locomotive BR 52 will be delayed by at least half a year for unspecified reasons. End of station radio announcement.
You know what else turned dead after people complained about news?
The NEWS Section died...
Hence why nobody even knows that the game is finally coming out in December ....
becaues the devs themselves dont give a F*** who knows if it's coming in December or not....
then we agree its dead, and poor management as you have added, i will agree on that as well. as developers not giving a ♥♥♥♥...we know that, we see that on regular updates, and scamming with dlcs the polish people who likes trains.
how many daily players left? 60 polish, 20 german, and 30 the rest of the world. so so so alive lol
Either you get information from external sources or you don't get any information. I find this behavior by the developers extremely disrespectful.
And yes, the game is basically dead or will disappear into obscurity in the near future.
- updates are very, very rare. At this rate, it is impossible for the game to become what many hope.
- All stations and trains are almost deserted
- the trains rock randomly to the left and right and you can't turn off this annoying and inferior-looking effect, despite repeated requests to the developers. They don't care whether it's annoying or not.
Instead of properly simulating bumps on the tracks, they stick to these cheap random effects.
- the graphics don't look up to date
- many things in the trains don't work and nothing will change that. - the remaining hardcore players cling stubbornly to the developers' promises and believe every word they say.
- there is absolutely no added value in using this game/sim. You can feel the lack of attention to detail and the developers' desire to change something at every turn. A large part of the blame for this lies with the many positive reviews on Steam (in my opinion the reviews should be predominantly negative)
- this game is simply cheaply programmed and cobbled together with things bought together.
- now they are trying to keep the game financially alive with DLCs, which will fail sooner or later because the number of buyers will simply be too low.
This game is only liked because some people really want to like it. However, without objectively looking at the shortcomings and the lack of quality. I think that many players try to sugarcoat things but in reality they know that the game is rubbish. They just don't want to admit it. It would be too annoying to realise that they were fooled and that they wasted a lot of time.
I don't want to waste any more of my time with this eternally unfinished and cheaply implemented game/sim.
- Most things in the trains do work, and much more stuff is simulated than in many other simulators.
as i said dead, 50, 100, 400, or a 1000 daily is a dead game! if it is 400 that is around 2 people from every country, let that sink in to understand 400 is nothing.
and that 400 is daily, that doesnt mean you will see 400 people online at the same time, no buddy that is during all day. my numbers up there when you log in and you see people playing 20 servers, 15 with 0 players, 1 polish almost full, 1 german half empty, and the rest with few players here and there. DEAD!
The all time peak of players on simrail is 2379, and 400 compared to that with 6 months after last update is not bad. So it's not completely dead, there are still players.
