Then, you have to be connected to Internet to play in Multi-Player mode. In this mode, your local game works together with a remote server. In this mode, you play with potentially 70 players and bots driving trains et around 20 dispatchers in the Boxes.
In Single-Player, you can play Offline, but you are alone on the tracks.
The multiplayer shouldn't be a problem for me, but that 50 gigabyte download size is putting me off. Are there any plans to try and reduce this? The game itself takes up 50 gigabytes of disc space, so is there really no way of reducing file size by compressing files?
I didn't remember how big was the initial download, but I thought it was around 40 Gigas (I have a 6 Gb/hour connection, and I vaguely remember the download was 6 or 7 hours long).
Edit : I've just found a special site where you can download Simrail who said : "Download size : 40 Gb". Don't try it, just look at it, but don't go farther ...
Simrail need to be bought from Steam, and when using it is connecting with Steam account. Don't forget that, with Steam, you have two hours of playing maximum to be refunding if it doesn't works well.
For 34 euros, you have 500 km of track, 5 types of locomotives, Multi-Player, Dispatching, and more coming soon ...
Ok, thanks for all your help! 40 Gigas sounds more reasonable, might get it in the next steam sale hopefully!
