SimRail is on the other side of the spectrum, think Microsoft flight Sim - it's a simulator with 1:1 scale routes that are in fact bigger than Train Life, it's around 300 km that you travel real time. Game is focused on VERY realistic train and dispatcher operations.
There is no goal except ones you make for yourself learning the route and train.
Also big selling point for SimRail is definitely multiplayer. Trainlife does not have it.
Both games are good in what they're trying to do, just very different goals.
My tip is watch many available YT videos on both titles, it really depends on what are you like better in terms of type of a game.
Train Life, is first and foremost a video game that happends to be simulator.
So I would say. SimRail is much better for sim enthusiast. Train Life might be better for average gamer.
Oh dear,..that doesn't sound very good at all. Maybe I'll wait until the end of the year at Christmas to see how it goes.
