Thanks! Just figured out how to change it:
1. Opening RottEX.kpf in 7Zip, navigate to the 'wad' folder
2. Download the following file - https://i.imgur.com/J3f5BCN.png - and rename it to "AP_TITL.png" without the quotation marks
3. Copy the new png file into the 'wad' folder and confirm to overwrite what is already there
4. Double click the file "AP_TITL.png.json" to open it in Notepad/Notepad++
5. Change 'offset_y' to '12' (or another figure if you don't like the positioning)
6. Save RottEX.kpf and close it. Open the game
The colours look a bit off so I'm sure there's a better way of doing it, but this is my best shot so far!
EDIT: much better solution further down!!
This is because the new graphic also has an associated new palette that it uses, which is contained in ap_pal.pal inside the KPF.
However, we also ship DARKWAR.WAD and it's unchanged form the registered 1.3 version.
So you can just extract the original AP_PAL from DARKWAR.WAD using a tool like SLADE[slade.mancubus.net], put that sucker into the KPF replacing the existing file, and it should work.
Amazing, thanks again!
